Glendale, CA – November 9, 2007 -- African Travel Inc. has appointed Heidi Podjavorsek Sales & Marketing Manager. Ms. Podjavorsek, who is based in the company’s Glendale California headquarters, brings 15 years of travel industry experience to her new position.
Most recently she worked served as West Coast Sales Manager for the German National Tourist Office based in Los Angeles, where she was responsible for developing key relationships with travel agencies and tour operators. Prior to the German National Tourist Office she served 9 years as Director of Sales for STA Travel, the world’s leading student travel agency, where she was responsible for both retail and group sales.
Born in Germany, Ms. Podjavorsek holds a degree in Tourism Management from Heilbronn University of Applied Sciences, Germany. A passionate traveler, she has visited over 30 countries, and speaks six languages.
