The Itinerary
Designed for individual departures, the highly personalized journey begins with VIP assistance on arrival in Cairo and accommodations at the Fairmont Heliopolis. In Cairo two full days of private sightseeing take in Giza, the Egyptian Museum, the Khan el Khalili Market, and more. A dinner in the private home of an Egyptian family provides insight into today’s Egypt.
Following a short Nile flight, a full day is devoted to Dendarra and Abydos with an overnight at the Sonesta St. George Hotel, Luxor. The remaining five days are spent cruising the Nile aboard the Sonesta Star Goddess with accommodations in a luxury suite with private balcony. For maximum convenience all Nile land excursions are by private vehicle. Included are such major sites as Valley of the Kings, Luxor and Karnak, the Philae Temples at Angelika Island, and following debarkation, the monuments at Abu Simbel.
Port Ghalib
Opened on January 15, 2008, Sun International’s new luxury Red Sea Resort, Port Ghalib, is located along the 250-mile long Red Sea coral wall known as the 'Coral Coast' of Egypt, five minutes from Marsa Alam International Airport, and within proximity of Luxor, Edfu and Aswan. Fringed by desert mountains to the west and coral reefs with a unique ecosystem to the east, the opulent resort consists of three hotels flanked around a common public area and marina, all reflecting middle eastern architecture and influences. An integrated community, Port Ghalib sports promenades with shops and boutiques, a corniche, restaurants, bars, a traditional Egyptian Souq as well as galleries and a children’s center.

Per person land arrangements, for the 12-day “Exclusively Yours” Egypt itinerary, based on double occupancy, start at $5,395 for January – September 2008 departures ($5,895 through December, 2007).
