African Travel, Inc. Offers Two Safari Specials

African Travel, Inc. is offering a free round-trip air ticket to Africa – either in business or economy class –in conjunction with the purchase of a Southern Africa safari.  The first passenger purchases land and air at the regular published rate.  With the purchase of the land safari, the second traveler receives a free international ticket. Departure is valid for any day of the year – through to December 5th, 2009, and travelers can chose either the 12 day Southern Explorer – Royal Level – to South Africa and Victoria Falls, or the 11 day Last Refuge safari – Lion Level – to Botswana.

12 day Southern Explorer – Royal Level  – land from $5995 per person

Cape Town, Kruger National Park and Victoria Falls combine on this 12 day cultural and wildlife adventure.  3 nights are spent in both Cape Town and Kruger, 2 nights at Victoria Falls and 1 night in Johannesburg. Two days touring Cape Town includes a dinner in a private home of a Capetonian family. 4 days in Kruger offer daily wildlife drives, afternoon walking safaris and gourmet bush cuisine. Extensive sightseeing at the Victoria Falls features a sunset cruise on the Zambezi River and a guided tour of the Falls from the Livingstone, Zambia side.

Top–of-the-line accommodations are at the Cape Cadogan Boutique Hotel in Cape Town, Lions Sands River Lodge at Kruger Park, the Royal Livingstone Hotel in the Falls and at the luxurious Westcliff Hotel in Johannesburg. Price includes 16 meals, deluxe accommodation, all transfers, sightseeing, transportation and safari game drives in open vehicles.

Land costs start at $5995 per person, double occupancy. Business class airfare from JFK to Cape Town is $8041 for the first traveler…..and is free for the second passenger.  Should travelers prefer economy class, the international ticket is priced from $1640…with the second ticket free of charge.  (Airlines taxes and intra-Africa airfares are not included and are additional)  Travelers can extend their trip to savor more of South Africa with optional tours to renowned Cape Winelands or Bushmans Kloof Wilderness Reserve.

11 day Last Refuge – Lion Level – land from $5675 per person

This safari combines luxury lodges with incredible wildlife viewing in three different game-rich ecosystems.  Two nights are spent at each of Orient Express Safaris’ Botswana camps: Khwai River Lodge in the Moremi Reserve, Savute Elephant Camp in the Chobe Park and Eagle Island Camp in the Okavango Delta.  An amazing helicopter ride is included while staying at Eagle Island.  A final night is spent at Orient Express’ Westcliff Hotel in Johannesburg. This tour features all luxury accommodation in lodges, hotels and tented camps, 20 meals, daily game drives as well as other wildlife activities led by highly trained guided.

Land prices begin at $5675 per person, double occupancy.  Business class airfare from JFK to Johannesburg is $7898 for the first traveler…and is free for the second passenger.  Economy airfare may be substituted, at a rate starting at $1640. The second passenger receives a free economy ticket.  (Airline taxes and intra-Africa airfares are not included and are additional).  Travelers can continue their safari adventure through Namibia with the “Southern Jewels”, to experience the ultimate African odyssey.
